JHERF is a registered organization under the Government of India Society Act 1973, with a registration number of 04/14/07/18221/16. It was formed on the recommendation of all members of the Higher Education & Research Foundation. JHERF is dedicated to social upliftment, improving the quality of higher education, and promoting Indian research through events such as international/national conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and other activities. JHERF supports research and development and awards grants every year to 25 projects on a sponsorship basis ranging from INR 25000K to 10 Lakh.
