Research Foundation of India is a registered organization under the MP Govt 1958, with registration number 18/30/05/C/821210. It is also registered under the Govt of India Society Act 1973 with registration number 04/14/07/18221/16 by the recommendation of all members of Higher Education & Research Foundation (JHERF). RFI is dedicated to promoting social upliftment and enhancing the quality of higher education and research in India through various activities such as organizing international/national conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and other related events.

OUR MISSION

The Research Foundation of India for Higher Education is a research society that aims to promote and advance knowledge in the field of education, particularly higher education. It encourages scholarly inquiry related to education and promotes the use of research to enhance education and serve the public good.

VISION

RFI aims to foster innovation and facilitate the exchange of intellectual ideas worldwide. In order to keep up with the increasing demand for higher education, RFI is dedicated to enhancing capacity building efforts in this field.

ABOUT US

The Research Foundation of India focuses on enhancing the educational process by promoting scholarly inquiry and evaluation related to education, and by facilitating the dissemination and practical application of research findings. RFI primarily focuses on research and development for higher education and was previously known as the Foundation for Research. The organization conducts various in-house activities such as workshops, training programs, and conferences, and engages in outreach activities such as publishing journals and books. These efforts have been ongoing since the organization’s inception.

RFI has a membership of almost 2.5k distinguished professionals comprising of faculty, researchers, graduate students, and others with a rich and diverse expertise in education research. They work across various settings including universities, research institutes, school systems, testing companies, and nonprofit organizations. Drawing from their research, they generate and disseminate knowledge, refine methods and measures, and encourage the practical application of research results.

RFI is a global organization with members from over 15 countries, representing almost 1% of the total membership, residing outside India. Of the total membership, over 28% are students, comprising approximately 3,500 graduate students and 200 undergraduate students. The majority of RFI members (74%) report that education is their primary discipline, while others specialize in diverse fields such as engineering, medical, dental, psychology, statistics, sociology, history, economics, philosophy, anthropology, and political science.

The Research Foundation of India will be led by a core team of academic and support staff, as well as a vast network of senior academics in higher education who will carry out its activities. The Research Times is a multidisciplinary publication that covers a diverse range of subjects. It aims to provide scholars with a suitable platform to share their views and ideas, encouraging and motivating them to do so.

The growing domestic and global demand for higher education presents a significant challenge that requires expanding capacities in this field. The Social Research Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality and standard of higher education, while ensuring a suitable balance among teaching, scholarship, and services. To achieve its mission, the Indian Higher Education & Research Foundation plans to establish a Research Centre with its own library, publish national and international research journals, organize seminars and workshops, and provide research scholars with comprehensive guidelines and information on higher education research.
